Inner Movers realizes a unique multimedia educational platform in Greece for video dance practices and site specific performance.
It sets up an exchange between young people interested in video, filmmaking, performance and movement with professionals of the field.
Inner Movers as a free educational-experimental project will enable 3 artistic teams consisting of 5 to 6 young people to participate in a 2,5-month constructive program to work with experts on the realization of 3 multimedia performances realized in 3 urban locations in Athens and Piraeus. The project is designed with a sequence of workshops and lectures in Camera, Shooting, Editing, Scenario, Photography and Movement. These artistic tools will help the participants to develop their artistic proposition to express their voice on social issues.
Inner Movers wishes to develop an annual platform with a different concept-theme every year. For this year, the concept is about human mobility. In artistic process participants will reflect on aspects of mobility today.
The project is conceived and leaded by Nicole Koimtzi – Project Manager in collaboration with:Elisavet Pliakostathi, Chrysanthi Badeka and Ioannis Karounis
This project is part and mainly funded by the stART program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung conducted in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki and the Bundesvereinigung Soziokultureller Zentren e.V. (German Association of Sociocultural Centers).
